Accessing your Lake Como retreat at CasaMI‑CO is not only simple — it’s completely key-free, secure, and designed for maximum convenience. No need to worry about lost keys or late check-ins. Thanks to our smart access system powered by the Nuki Smart Lock, you can enter both the building and the apartment using just a 6-digits personal numeric code.

A few hours before your arrival, you will receive a 6-digits personal numeric code via message or email. This code is your key to CasaMI-CO. You enter it into the keypads:

  • Into CasaMICO’s mailbox outside the house, to open the main entrance gate of the building.
  • Near apartment door, to open the apartment door itself.

Your digital access will remain valid throughout your stay — from the official check-in time (4:00 PM) until check-out (10:00 AM) on the day of departure.

📢 Update Winter 2026 – Simplified Access for an Even Smoother Check-in

Starting January 2026, we’ve simplified the entry process at CasaMI‑CO to make your arrival even easier.

From now on:

  • The Nuki Smart Lock app will no longer be used.
  • You’ll simply use the 6-digit PIN code on the keypads:
    • located into the mailbox, outside the main entrance, to open the street-level door
    • located next to the door to open the apartment
  • — no more app required.

So instead of two activation codes, you will now receive:

  • Just 1 PIN code for both the apartment and the street-level door keypads

This new system offers a faster, more flexible check-in — especially if you’re arriving with luggage or without internet access.

Holiday Home Smart Lock Instructions – step-by-step

Step 1: Open CasaMI-CO’s mailbox:

  • On the left side of the street-level main entrance door, you can locate the black CasaMI-CO’s mailbox. Open it.

Step 2: Type the 6-digits PIN code

  • Shortly before your arrival you will receive a 6-digits personal numeric code.
  • Type it on the keypad (pointed out by the red arrow in the picture below): the door will open.
  • The PIN code you have received will remain valid for the entire duration of your stay and will be deactivated automatically upon check out (10am on the day of your departure);

Step 3: Go upstairs to the first floor

  • Close the mailbox and go upstairs to the first floor.

Step 4: Type the 6-digits PIN code

  • Type the same 6-digits PIN code on the keypad, beside the apartment door: it will open.

Step 5: Lock the door

You can lock the door of the apartment in this way:

  • From Inside: simply press the white circular button on the closing: it opens and closes the door from the inside
  • From Outside: press the “back arrow” on the bottom right side of the keypad

Important

  • The 6-digits PIN code will remain valid for the entire duration of your stay, from the time of check-in (4.00 pm on the day of arrival) until check-out time (10.00 am on the day of departure);
